Dear Gentllemen,

I wanted to drop you a note to express my gratitude for the remarkable service we received at my daughter’s wedding yesterday. Lauren and Stephen were determined to have a simple and stress free wedding day. Their choice to come to Village Square (where they got engaged) absolutely ensured not only a flawless celebration but their little reception had all the class and luxury that any ballroom or country club could have hoped for.

You should be aware of the gem you have in the gentleman who cared for us, ‘D’. Please forgive me, I don’t know if this was a name or a nickname but I do not doubt you will be immediately aware of whom I speak. This young man could not have been more attentive if he were a member of the family and his own sister was getting married. His welcome and responsiveness were tremendously appreciated by this mother-of-the-bride.

We were not surprised by the quality of the food that we received but every grandmother in our group was delighted with the personalized menus and made sure to take a few. What a delightful detail. Dinner was so delicious I’d be surprised if there was a single plate that went back with anything on it, except for those who could not leave a bite behind and D graciously arraigned to-go boxes for them.

What a tremendous day we had, Larry and I wish you would come to Reston and open a restaurant here. Of course it was a wonderful day to remember and the staff at Village Square went above and beyond to create my daughter’s dream wedding.

I would personally like to thank you for being such a great place. I have been coming there with my significant other for about 7-8 months now as often as we can. You all do a wonderful job with everything from the kitchen to the dining room floor. We always have a great experience when we come there for dinner. The food is alway exceptional as is the service. You are, and should be, a role model for other restaurants in the area. Having the owner come to our table last night and recognizing us as "returning customers" was very nice and then being asked for any input on ways you could improve your restaurant meant a lot to both of us. My only response is to keep doing what you're doing and have fun with it. Times are tough but that will not keep us from spending our Sundays at your restaurant. I can honestly say that everytime I eat dinner there it is a new and great experience, one that will be remembered.

Dear David and Joerg,
    
We wanted to thank you so very much for a wonderful rehearsal dinner. I cannot tell you how many people have told me that not only was the experience delightful, but that the food was some of the best fare they have ever had. Dave and I have been to some of the finest restaurants, all over the country, and we have to agree. I had the salmon, and it was a thick piece, PERFECTLY cooked. Maybe not hard to do, but unusual.
    
Dave is in the restaurant business as well, and we know what a grind this business can be. You all are doing an amazing job, and please remember that when you are tired and maybe feeling that the horses are calling you, there are many people who appreciate what you are doing in the charming town of Winchester. We can't wait to come back, maybe with some of the members of our new family!

I was in V2 a couple weeks ago and loved the candles in the bar. They were small oil lamps with frosted glass sleeves. It's the glass sleeves I'm interested in... I cannot find them anywhere...online or otherwise. Where did you get them?

A) you can tell a great place -- above all -- by the staff. On point, enthused, professional, knowledgeable. well done.

B) can you tell me what bottle of Merlot you guys were pouring at dinner? One of the servers told me, but after many glasses, how does one remember?

C) pleasure to meet you Dave, I was the guy asking for the ballgame, we spoke at length -- you're a gentleman -- nothing but success to you!
